A per diem Clinical Pharmacist opportunity is available for inpatient hospital coverage from June 3 through June 8. This role provides essential support at a small critical access hospital with 25 beds, primarily serving patients Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Responsibilities include:

• Verifying medication orders to ensure accuracy and patient safety
• Monitoring pharmacy technicians' activities and workflow
• Performing medication cart fills for nursing units
• Managing Pyxis dispensing systems for efficient medication distribution

Ideal candidates will have a Kentucky license that is clear and active as well as at least one year of recent inpatient experience. Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records is preferred, alongside strong clinical knowledge. Effective interpersonal skills are important for collaborating with healthcare teams and supporting pharmacy staff within this close-knit hospital environment.

This role is well suited for pharmacists who excel in clinical settings and enjoy contributing to patient care in a critical access hospital. The schedule is Monday through Friday, daytime hours only, providing a predictable workweek during this short assignment.
