Summary:
Vighter LLC is seeking a results-driven Director of Business Development with a deep understanding of the federal contracting, acquisitions and procurement landscape. This role is responsible for identifying, qualifying, and securing new government contract opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and growing our presence within agencies such as the Department of Defense (DoD), Veterans Affairs (VA), Defense Health Agency (DHA), Health and Human Services (HHS) and other federal and state entities. The candidate will possess the following skills sets: marketing knowledge, strategy experience, proposal management, sales experience and networking experience. The ideal candidate is a high-energy people person with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Principle Accountabilities:
- Proactively identify and pursue new federal and state government contracting opportunities related to healthcare and medical support staffing services through capture and shaping activities.
- Serve as Capture Manager for selected opportunities, either all the way to award or in the early capture phase.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contracting officers, procurement personnel within target agencies and other partners within our industry space.
- Respond to RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, and Sources Sought notices, and coordinate proposal development in collaboration with internal teams.
- Develop, review, and report on the business development division’s strategy, ensuring the strategic objectives are well understood and executed by the team.
- Impact the profitability of the company through ensuring strategic and tactical management decisions and new business development results.
- Competitor and market analysis.
- Identify, recommend, negotiate, structure, and obtain internal approvals for acquisitions of potential business targets.
- Ensure efficient and effective marketing, advertising and promotional planning through the Marketing department.
- Maintain and develop organizational culture, values and reputation in its markets and with all staff, customers, suppliers, partners and regulatory/official bodies.
- Self-development and continuing personal development.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, or related field is required. Masters degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, or related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in government contracting, business development or acquisitions, preferably in the medical staffing or healthcare services sector.
- Proven success in identifying, bidding, and winning federal contracts.
- Familiarity with FAR/DFARS, federal procurement processes, and healthcare compliance requirements.
- Experience using CRM and procurement tools such as GovWin, SAM.gov.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; capable of writing proposals and conducting high-level presentations.
- Ability to travel as required for client meetings, industry events, or site visits.
Duty Hours / On-call Requirements:
- The expected duty hours for this position are 8 hours per day and 5 days per week. There are times that this work may be conducted outside of standard business hours, with opportunities for travel to meet with potential clients.

Travel:
- Up to 75% as required in support of business objectives.
