An opportunity for a skilled Registered Nurse with Electrophysiology (EP) expertise is available for a contract position in Washington Navy Yard, DC. This role involves caring for patients in a dynamic EP Lab setting, focusing on telemetry and cardiac rhythm monitoring. The position offers a consistent 3x12-hour day shift schedule, with three late stays assigned on a rotating six-week basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care specializing in cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation.
  • Utilize equipment such as Cardio Lab, Medconnect, Zoll, and Life Pak to monitor and support patients.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional care to patients undergoing electrophysiology procedures.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to hospital policies, including infection control protocols.
  • Successfully complete the required Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam prior to start.

Qualifications:

  • Current DC Registered Nurse licensure is required (pending DC licenses accepted with application date documented).
  • Minimum of 2 years experience working with telemetry and cardiac rhythm monitoring.
  • Certification in ACLS and BLS required.
  • Ability to achieve a minimum overall score of 80% on Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam and 100% on lethal rhythms section.
  • Must comply with facility requirements, including the annual flu vaccination.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 3x12-hour day shifts (07:00 AM - 07:00 PM)
  • Three late stays assigned per a six-week rotating schedule
