Forte Human Capital, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Medical Technician to join our team and support the Department of Veterans Affairs. The Medical Technician will assist with patient care, perform diagnostic procedures, and support laboratory operations to ensure the delivery of high-quality healthcare to veterans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and perform a variety of tests using complex automated analytical systems.
- Conduct hematology and coagulation testing with advanced instrumentation.
- Perform macroscopic and microscopic examinations of cultures.
- Prepare patient specimens for in-house testing and shipment to reference laboratories.
Qualifications:
- Experience: One year of specialized experience in a clinical laboratory setting, including performing complex testing, maintaining equipment, and conducting quality control procedures.
- Education: One full year of graduate-level education in fields like Clinical Laboratory Science, Chemistry, or Microbiology can substitute for experience.
- Certification: Certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), American Medical Technologist (AMT), or equivalent as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) is required.
