Position Overview:
We’re seeking an experienced Plumbing, Heating & Cooling Estimator to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll manage the entire estimating process — from responding to incoming requests for quotes to preparing detailed, accurate cost estimates for plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical projects.
You’ll work closely with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to deliver competitive, well-crafted estimates that help us win projects and exceed client expectations. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the estimating process for plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical projects from start to finish
- Respond quickly to requests for quotes and potential sales leads
- Conduct on-site client visits to assess project scope and requirements
- Prepare comprehensive cost estimates, factoring labor, materials, equipment, and overhead
- Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing
- Maintain organized records of all estimates, bids, and project documentation
- Partner with procurement to assist with material ordering for awarded projects
- Follow up on sales leads and perform post-sale check-ins to ensure quality assurance
- Address client questions, complaints, and requests promptly and professionally
- Utilize Microsoft Office and Google Suite tools to create, track, and manage project estimates
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- 3–5 years of estimating or sales experience in plumbing, HVAC, or related construction trades
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and insurability per company policy
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Comfortable using Google Drive, Docs, and Sheets
- Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously
