Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for servicing ambulatory infusion pumps.
- Performs annual preventative maintenance, troubleshooting devices, and appropriate repairs to equipment.
- Properly documents safety testing, repairs, preventative maintenance, and programming.
- Maintains records, writes reports, and coordinates outside repairs as needed.
- Knowledge of practices, procedures, methods, tools, and materials used in the use, repair, and maintenance of infusion pumps.
- Demonstrates competency related to the testing of equipment, use, maintenance and troubleshooting of clinical equipment.
- Demonstrates competency related to servicing and repairing ambulatory infusion pumps including understanding manuals, operating instructions, service diagrams, flow charts, and schematics.
- Works with inter-company pharmacy locations and alternate site of care locations to track ambulatory infusion pumps due for preventative maintenance or in need of repairs.
- Works with patients to retrieve ambulatory infusion pumps due for PM, repairs or when no longer in use.
- Performs other non-clinical pharmacy and warehouse duties as requested.
- Performs other duties as requested by management.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong organizational and customer service skills.
- Ability to comprehend and follow both written and oral instructions.
- Detailed oriented with good follow through on tasks.
- Ability to maintain accurate service and time keeping records.
- Previous experience with working in CPR+ computer knowledge a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree or higher in electronics or biomedical equipment technology preferred.
- NFR Certification preferred.
- Home infusion pharmacy experience preferred.
- Experience in the operation of Moog, Curlin and Ambulatory Infusion Pumps preferred.
Physical Demands:
Required to stand, walk, sit, talk and hear; required to use hands to operate vehicles and office equipment; must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs; specific vision requirements for this job include: close, distance and peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus, reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position without compromising patient care.
