Master’s degree in Special Education, Educational Diagnostics, Psychology or a related field, active Educational Diagnostician license, and 1+ years Educational Diagnostician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time position is available for an Educational Diagnostician serving K-12 students in the Kenner, LA area. This contract role spans the current school year, with an anticipated start date as soon as possible through May 22, 2026. The position requires expertise in educational assessment and diagnosis within K-12 settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive educational evaluations and assessments for students across K-12 grade levels.
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and specialists to interpret assessment results and develop appropriate educational plans.
- Provide detailed reports and recommendations to support student academic and behavioral success.
- Ensure compliance with state and district regulations regarding special education and assessment procedures.
- Manage a caseload of students, with specifics to be determined based on district needs.
Qualifications:
- Active Louisiana Department of Education certification as an Educational Diagnostician is required.
- Experience working with diverse student populations within K-12 schools.
- Strong understanding of educational assessment tools, intervention strategies, and special education regulations.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to meet deadlines efficiently in a fast-paced school environment.
Work Schedule:
- Full-time, 35 hours per week.
- Monday through Friday, 7 hours per day with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
- Schedule aligned with the school calendar.
