Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Seeking experienced educators for full-time contract positions as Teachers of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing in the Franklin, TN area. This role supports students with hearing impairments within local school settings, requiring onsite presence. Assignments will be within various schools, with caseloads and specific age groups to be determined.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to deaf and hard-of-hearing students.
- Collaborate with school staff and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Utilize assistive technologies and communication strategies appropriate for students' needs.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
- Participate in professional development and team meetings as required.
Qualifications:
- Valid Tennessee teaching license with Deaf/Hard of Hearing endorsement.
- Experience working with students who have hearing impairments is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in an onsite school environment.
- Commitment to student success and inclusive education.
