Picture the start of your shift at 2:30 PM in our Trevose, PA facility. You walk the CNC cell—mills, lathes, and the drill press area—scan the queues, and huddle with supervisors to lock in priorities. You align people, tools, and machines, then dive in: setting up complex jobs, coaching teammates, and tightening quality so parts move with precision.
Where and When You’ll Work
- On-site at our Trevose, PA facility.
- Primary schedule: 2nd shift, 2:30 PM – 11:30 PM EDT.
- Initial training: first few weeks on 1st shift, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM EDT, then transition to 2nd shift.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with supervisors and managers to establish work sequences, build daily/weekly schedules, and keep production moving efficiently across CNC mills, lathes, and the drill press area.
- Guide operators on the right methods, tooling, and steps for each assignment; communicate expectations clearly.
- Perform job setups as needed, especially on complex or time-sensitive work.
- Maintain top-tier quality and strong throughput; keep an eye on takt, scrap, and rework.
- Audit in-process work for accuracy, finish, and adherence to drawings and specifications.
- Onboard, train, and mentor new team members to accelerate their growth and independence.
- Spot and correct gaps in procedures, methods, and work sequences; document changes for future runs.
- Update and recommend improvements to work standards, then monitor performance against those targets.
- Reduce setup time and resolve problems at the source using structured problem-solving.
- Jump on any machine in your department as a Level III operator when the schedule demands it.
- Perform other related duties consistent with the scope and level of the role.
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 7–10 years of manufacturing experience, including at least 3 years operating at a Level III capability.
- Comfort with fundamental math used in machining and shop calculations.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand basic English.
- Sound judgment and problem-solving aligned to work instructions, prints, and documented procedures.
- Strong communicator who works well on a team and can lead one effectively.
Physical Demands
Work may occasionally require standing, walking, or sitting; fine motor use of hands to handle components, tools, and controls; reaching; stair climbing; balancing; stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; and clear communication by talking or hearing. You may occasionally need to lift or move up to 25 pounds. Vision demands can include close and distance focus, color recognition, peripheral awareness, depth perception, and the ability to refocus.
