An experienced IV compounding pharmacy technician is needed for a full-time position in Plano, TX. This contract-to-hire opportunity is ideal for those with strong sterile compounding skills and a commitment to adhering to strict quality and safety standards. The role involves working closely with pharmacists to prepare and manage sterile IV admixtures and supporting pharmacy operations.

Location: Plano, TX
Job Type: Contract to Hire
Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
Shift: 8-hour shift between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. (specific shift to be determined)

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare sterile IV admixtures such as TPN, antibiotics, chemotherapy, and specialty infusions in compliance with USP standards
  • Accurately label, package, and stage compounded medications for pharmacist verification and timely delivery
  • Maintain clean room sterility by performing environmental cleaning, proper garbing, and thorough documentation
  • Manage inventory of IV medications and supplies to ensure availability
  • Complete precise compounding logs, batch records, and quality control documentation
  • Perform other pharmacy technician duties as directed by a licensed pharmacist

Qualifications:

  • Active Pharmacy Technician License in Texas
  • PTCB certification required
  • IV Certification mandatory
  • Minimum of 2 years recent sterile compounding experience (3+ years preferred)
  • At least 4 years recent pharmacy technician experience
