POSITION TITLE: Production Lead
POSITION OBJECTIVES: The Production Lead is responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and directing daily activities of production staff. This key role ensures that production goals and objectives are achieved efficiently and on schedule, while maintaining a safe, clean and organized environment. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Production Team Leadership & Workforce Development
- Lead and oversee production staff activities, ensuring full compliance with company procedures, safety standards, and ISO requirements.
- Provide clear direction and hands-on supervision to drive efficient execution of daily production operations.
- Cultivate a positive, team-oriented work environment that promotes collaboration, accountability, and high performance.
- Evaluate processes continuously and implement improvements to increase quality, efficiencies for productivity.
- Support and promote employee training and cross-training initiatives to build a flexible, skilled workforce.
- Communicate and reinforce company objectives, values, and culture while effectively delivering production updates to team members.
Provide training and assistance to Assemblers:
- Ensure work is completed efficiently and on time, adhering to established assembly instructions and standardized techniques.
- Review production schedule, prioritize tasks, and assign duties to team members to optimize equipment use and maximize productivity.
- Conduct meetings to communicate production goals, updates, and priorities
- Effectively communicate company announcements and production-related information to employees within the assigned department
- Attend and actively participate in interdepartmental meetings as required
- Process and complete jobs within Epicor to ensure accuracy, quality, and proper documentation completeness.
- Train and mentor production staff on equipment operations, processes, and best practices.
- Provide clear, detailed guidance to assemblers and resolve technical questions to maintain workflow continuity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support and sustain efficient production flow.
- Review and process new jobs within Epicor to support production readiness
- Prepare jobs travelers and issue materials to ensure timely production execution. for production use.
Production Leadership & Operations Management
- Lead and direct daily production activities for assigned staff to maximize efficiency and output.
- Promote and maintain a safe, organized workspace by consistently applying 6S and housekeeping principles.
- Drive achievement of production goals by ensuring timely and cost-efficiency and output
- Analyze production performance, identify improvements opportunities, and implement effective corrective actions
- Enforce strict adherence to safety regulations and quality standards across all operations
- Monitor, track, and evaluate employee attendance, productivity, and overall performance
- Review and approve employee PTO requests to ensure adequate staffing and uninterrupted operations
- Design and optimize production schedules and workflows to improve efficiency and throughput
- Uphold and enforce company policies and procedures with consistency and fairness
- Diagnose production issues quickly and implement solutions to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
Operational Functions
- Prioritize and manage work orders to support and meet production schedules and deadlines.
- Cross train co-workers and subcontract personnel to ensure operational flexibility and efficiency
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in accordance with 6S standards
- Follow established procedures, quality guidelines and maintain safety requirements.
- Operate and utilize hand tools, epoxy, and specialized equipment as required by manufacture and safety guidelines.
- Provide on-site support and serve as backup for various roles within the assigned department as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 4+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of production processes and equipment
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively
- Demonstrated change management and continuous improvement mindset
- Familiarity with 6S methodology and lean manufacturing principles
- Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Six Sigma methodologies
- Knowledge of quality systems, inspection processes, and continuous improvement tools (e.g., root cause analysis, corrective and preventive action processes (CAR)
- Ability to identify defects, ensure product quality, and follow standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and Work Instructions (WI and WIO)
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to 6S standards
- Ability to lift up to forty (40) pounds and stand for extended periods
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a cross functional team environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other related software is preferred

SHIFT: Monday-Friday, Business hours: (6am-6pm)- Shift hours (6am-2pm), possible weekends and overtime
HOURLY SALARY RANGE: $ 23.57 -$29.74- $35.36 hourly range: Bonus Eligible
