Bookkeeper
Job Overview:
Proficient in Quick Books software – MS Office 365 Excell and Word SoftwareGeneral accounting functions such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, account reconciliations, preparation for third-party audits, accurate record keeping, assisting with budget preparation, and preparing internal financial reports. Assigned duties are carried out in compliance with the LLVPOA Finance Policy & Procedure Manual.
Responsibilities and Duties
1. Accounts Receivable
· Prepare and execute daily income deposits. Monitor Property Owners accounts to assist in billing and process annual dues income. Apply appropriate charges to accounts, , apply payments received, track and apply penalties on delinquent accounts. Create accounts-aging reports monthly or as requested.
· Non-Dues Income: Non-dues income includes but is not limited to recreational events revenue, property transfer fees, vehicle registrations, retail sale items and wristband purchases. Duties include maintaining and recording accurate records of all miscellaneous income for applicable sales tax purposes, maintaining receipts as part of the audit trail. Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions in compliance with the Finance Policy & Procedure Manual.
2. Accounts Payable
· Process all approved invoices and purchases: enter invoices and vouchers into the Quick Books assigning an expense code to each. Process payment checks, obtain required signatures, and mail/distribute.
· Post all transactions to the General Ledger, and maintain accurate records of all financial transactions in compliance with the Finance Policy & Procedure Manual.
Supply Recreation staff with cash needed for village events, as per their schedule.
Qualifications
· Minimum five (5) years’ experience performing general accounting functions.
· Prefer Associates Degree in related fields and/or certification courses in accounting functions.
· Proficiency in computer applications and software including spreadsheets and data entry.
· Above average ability using office equipment: scanners, copiers, calculators, printers, etc.
· Strong attention to detail and record keeping.
