POSITION SUMMARY
The Accounting Clerk is responsible for performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks to support the finance and accounting department. This role ensures accurate processing of financial transactions, timely recordkeeping, and compliance with company policies and procedures. The Accounting Clerk plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial data and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including data entry, invoice matching, and payment preparation.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and vendor accounts.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Maintain organized and accurate accounting files and records.
- Enter data into accounting systems with a high degree of accuracy.
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Respond to vendor and customer inquiries regarding billing and payment status.
- Assist in preparing journal entries and posting to the general ledger.
- Support audits by providing documentation and reports as needed.
- Attend and participate in internal meetings and complete required training.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Sheets, and QuickBooks

Requirements:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree or coursework in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of progressive experience of hands-on accounting experience in an administrative, coordinator, or related support role
- Experience working with team members across multiple levels
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Requires ability to occasionally lift up to 25lbs
