Vernovis is looking for a Tier II Payroll Specialist who will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll and billing processing for clients, with a strong focus on data validation, reconciliation, and meeting critical banking deadlines. The individual will review payroll details across multiple systems, finalize invoices, balance transactions to accounting statements, and ensure all client materials are completed and delivered accurately. Successful candidates will be detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and highly accountable. Someone who takes ownership of their work, spots discrepancies before they become issues, and thrives in a structured, process-focused environment while maintaining a strong client service mindset.

What You'll Do:

  • Complete accurate and timely processing of client payroll and billing-related functions.
  • Review client payroll data for accuracy, including validating taxing locales and balancing figures across multiple databases.
  • Review client invoices for accuracy, ensuring payroll support documentation aligns with billing.
  • Finalize payroll and print checks within required banking time frames.
  • Finalize invoicing and print invoices accurately and on schedule.
  • Prepare client packets for shipment, ensuring materials are complete and delivered properly and in a timely manner.
  • Balance payroll and invoicing activity to accounting statements to confirm accuracy.
  • Assist with additional departmental functions, including invoice support and customer service.
  • Ensure all payrolls and invoices are completed accurately and within required deadlines.
  • Maintain organized, effective, and positive task completion while supporting company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Have:

  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify discrepancies in payroll data, tax jurisdictions, and multi-system reporting.
