AMTS is looking for a Semiconductor Basebuild Superintendents / Project Managers for our project in Manassas, VA! The ideal candidate will have directed and managed basebuild (MEP/CSA) project development from inception to completion. Customer service skills an asset as the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial. The ideal candidate will have strong scheduling and budget management skills as well.
Position Description/Deliverables:
- Lead Construction Coordination and Integration process with all site projects and within semiconductor basebuild facility.
- Responsible for all logistic aspects of basebuild construction logistics. Escalation point for site issues related to security, safety, staging and working areas.
- Responsible for field supervision over trade contractors and CM field supervision personnel. Develops and maintains close relationship with all trade functions starting from site managers through craftsman.
- Responsible for contractors' discipline, security and compliance to client guidelines.
- Final decision maker and road block remover for field level multi-discipline conflicts
- Supervises contractors' daily beat, daily communications via White Boards, Stand Downs, and all-hands meeting. Responsible for effective communication between CM, trade management level and entire contractors' population.
- Responsible for timely Micro-Schedule updating and reporting by CM personnel and contractors.
- Ensures field driven changes are coordinated and expedited to meet schedule.
- Leads site observation walks with coordination between client and trade management.
- Responsible for setting up a schedule to be performed at least weekly, ensuring appropriate participation, and reporting out findings.
Minimum Requirements & Expectations:
Education/ Experience
- 10 years of experience in construction industry as a project manager with mass head count management as well as task management.
Skills
- Semiconductor/Micro-Electronics industry experience is required*, previous mass project management experience in a basebuild facility project.
- Experience with the MS Office and Windows Suite of Software.
- Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
- Leadership to independently bring issues to final resolution.
- Ability to manage tasks and resources to execute contract deliverables.
- Strong verbal communication and computer skills.
- Excellent people management skills to monitor performance, identify issues, and correct issues. Must also have ability to effectively communicate difficult messages to staff.
- Good organizational planning abilities.
*Candidates without semiconductor experience will not be considered.
