Job description:
The Intensive Family Intervention Therapist position is focused on providing intensive in-home individual/family mental health counseling using evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches of care for children and adolescents at high risk of out of home placement or returning home from inpatient or residential treatment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Providing individual/family mental health counseling using evidence based and trauma informed approaches of care.
- Commitment to providing consistent, ongoing services to clients.
- Participate in coordination of care with a multi-disciplinary treatment team.
- Coordinating with a team to provide crisis intervention as necessary to enhance and restore functioning.
- Participate in weekly individual supervision with team lead.
- Meet or exceed agency required productivity and documentation standards.
- Must be flexible to work afterschool hours and weekends to accommodate clients served.
- Travel required
- Other duties as assigned

Mandatory Requirements
- Minimum of a Master’s degree in a psychology/social work/human services-related discipline with at least 2 years of experience required
- Must be at least license eligible
- Must be able to pass DBHDD background check (required prior to providing any services to clients)
- State-mandated training: Relias, CPR/First Aid, CPI - must be completed within the first 30 days of hire, Relias training is at no cost, the cost of CPR/First Aid and CPI are not covered by GFIT
- Excellent organization, communication, and time management strategies
- Willingness to travel to meet within clients in the Fulton/Dekalb County area
- Receptivity to feedback/constructive criticism
Preferred Requirements
- Past experience with Notenetic preferred
- Knowledge of Medicaid/CMO compliance requirements preferred

Current licensure status in the state of Georgia (fully licensed LPC/LCSW/LMFT) or

Licensure pursuit status (LMSW, LAPC, LAMFT) for candidates who have recently completed a master’s degree. Must have qualified clinician providing supervision.

Availability to work full-time with a flexible schedule, including after-school hours and weekends.

Ability to meet the requirements of a full-time position that involves schedule flexibility and travel of up to one hour or less to meet clients in person.
- Individuals who are prompt in communication, have collaborative personalities, and demonstrate a passion and knowledge for mental health and human services will be considered. Phone screen and any Indeed assessments requested must be completed for consideration.

Additional Information
- Job Type: Full-time, 1099
- Job Location Type: Hybrid - Applicants either must reside in or have reliable transportation to provide in-person services within Fulton/Dekalb County, GA. Travel to client homes and community locations as required, with willingness to commute up to 1 hour for client sessions.
- Schedule Requirements: Must be flexible to work afterschool hours and weekends in order to accommodate the needs of the clients served. With availability to provide services during morning, afternoon, and/or evening hours. Be flexible to meet the scheduling needs of the parent/guardian.
*At least 90% of contact must be face-to-face
*Services must be available 24/7 through on-call arrangements
