Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site role for a Teacher Assistant at Learning Garden Montessori School, located in Columbia City, Seattle, WA. Hours are 8:45-1pm. The Teacher Assistant will provide support in daily classroom activities, assist in class management, and help create a nurturing and engaging learning environment. Key responsibilities include assisting children with their academic tasks, maintaining classroom organization, and collaborating with teaching staff to ensure the smooth operation of the classroom.

Qualifications

• Experience in working with children in educational or childcare settings
• Strong Communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff
• Basic knowledge and skills.
• An understanding of or willingness to learn Montessori principles and methods
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude in working with children
• High school diploma required; additional certifications in education or child development preferred
• CPR and First Aid certification is an advantage
