Must have completed Behavior Specialist / ABA Therapy training and have a minimum 1+ years Behavior Therapy experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Providing support for students across K-12 grade levels, this role focuses on delivering specialized behavioral assistance within school settings. The position requires flexibility to travel among multiple campuses during the workweek and work onsite. Responsible for supporting students with autism, intellectual and emotional disturbances, and managing behaviors with high levels of restraint and aggression, this role collaborates closely with Behavior Interventionists and is supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct behavioral support to students in self-contained and life skills classrooms.
- Collaborate with Behavior Interventionists and classroom teachers to model and implement behavior intervention strategies.
- Adapt approaches as needed to meet the individual needs of students with diverse behavioral challenges.
- Manage and de-escalate situations involving student restraint and aggression, ensuring safety and compliance with district policies.
- Travel among 2-3 campuses weekly to provide consistent support across multiple locations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- National Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required.
- Experience supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and related emotional or intellectual disabilities preferred.
- Ability to handle challenging behaviors with professionalism and patience.
- Flexibility to commute among campuses and work full-time onsite hours (8:00 AM 4:30 PM, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch).
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams including BCBA supervision.
Location and Schedule:
- Onsite position located in Arlington, TX.
- Full-time, contract role for the current school year through May 22, 2026.
- 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
