Job DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting/Office Assistant to support our finance and administrative operations during a 6-week assignment. This role will assist with general accounting tasks, accounts payable processing, and day-to-day office support. The ideal candidate is reliable, proactive, and proficient in Microsoft Office applications and Sage accounting software.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Accounts Payable
- Process vendor invoices and ensure accuracy of coding and approvals.
- Assist with weekly check runs, ACH payments, and reconciliation of AP statements.
- Support month-end tasks, including data entry, reconciliations, and preparing basic reports.
- Maintain organized digital and physical accounting records.
- Enter and verify financial data within Sage and Microsoft Excel.
- Assist with expense reports and company credit card reconciliations.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and help resolve invoice discrepancies.
Office & Administrative Support
- Provide general administrative support to the accounting and office teams.
- Assist with document preparation, filing, and document retention tasks.
- Maintain office spreadsheets, logs, and shared documents.
- Support internal communications and scheduling as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to ensure smooth office operations.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in general accounting or administrative roles.
- Working knowledge of accounts payable processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Experience with Sage or similar accounting software.
Pay Details: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour
