Job Description

Are you an ambitious and results-driven sales professional with a passion for the building and construction industry?

We are seeking a dynamic Outside Sales Representative to join a leading building materials supplier in the Yonkers, NY area.

In this role, you will be the face of the company, responsible for driving new business and cultivating strong, lasting relationships with contractors and clients throughout the NYC boroughs. If you are a self-starter with a proven track record in outside sales and a deep understanding of building materials, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities):

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to expand the customer base and achieve sales targets within your assigned territory.

  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, cold calling, and networking within the construction industry.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing contractors, acting as a trusted advisor for their building material needs.

  • Present and sell a comprehensive range of building materials and solutions to meet client specifications and project requirements.

  • Manage your sales pipeline, track progress, and provide regular reports on sales activity and achievements.

  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in an outside sales role, with a strong preference for experience in building supplies, construction, or a related industry.

  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage a sales territory and consistently meet or exceed sales goals.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.

  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required for this field-based position.

  • A self-motivated and results-oriented mindset with a passion for sales and customer service.
