As the Manufacturing Projects Lead — Customer & Operations Liaison, you connect customers, engineering, purchasing, and production from quote through delivery. You will guide scope, schedules, materials, and quality while communicating clearly and keeping profitability in focus.

Your Impact

  • Be the first point of contact for customers: manage inquiries, price and quote work, and process ECNs, CCRs, POs, and Order Acknowledgments.
  • Partner with the Engineering Assistant on job setup, material orders, and interpretation of prints/designs.
  • Maintain accurate, complete job folders with prints, paperwork, certifications, 3D models, and CAD files.
  • Issue requisitions for materials, supplies, and tooling to keep production moving.
  • Coordinate design activity as each project requires.
  • Align schedules and release jobs in collaboration with the Operations Manager and Division Manager; level shop floor workloads.
  • Track in-process work, offer hands-on floor support, and drive timely completion.
  • Report progress, risks, completeness, and profitability with operations partners.
  • Grow existing accounts: identify new opportunities; assist outside sales via quoting, application engineering, and customer visits.
  • Contribute to shop organization to enhance proficiency, efficiency, and flow.
  • Work with the Quality Management Representative (QMR) to sustain ISO compliance.
  • Coordinate across internal divisions and external vendors for smooth integration.

What You Bring

  • Education: High school diploma required; Engineering degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
  • Experience: 3+ years in manufacturing or an engineering-related setting.
  • Core capabilities: organization, communication, and technical fluency; ability to navigate prints and CAD/3D data; confidence working directly with customers and supporting inside sales.
