We are seeking a skilled Billing Specialist to join our team in Middleton, Wisconsin. This long-term contract/contract-to-hire position plays a key role in managing billing operations across multiple service lines. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently within industry-specific systems.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit accurate billings in accordance with contract terms.
- Generate compliant progress billings (including G702/G703 forms) with all required supporting documentation.
- Maintain and update schedules of values, track retainage, and monitor payment timelines.
- Enter contract and sales data into Microsoft Business Central and other accounting systems with accuracy and completeness.
- Review billing packets for accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and update contracts or invoices as needed.
- Track and record change orders, purchase orders, and partial billings to create precise invoices and maintain detailed records.
- Manage job planning lines and associated financial data, ensuring records remain current.
- Maintain organized and accurate billing records within knowledge management systems.
- Provide administrative support, including data entry and correspondence, to ensure contract compliance.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in billing or a related field.
• Proficiency in billing functions, including collections, statements, and computerized systems.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM or similar platforms.
• Ability to manage detailed schedules of values and ensure compliance with financial timelines.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
