SUMMARY
Works with members of accounting to help maintain financial data and information systems including collection, analysis, and reporting. Works with financial date to analyze data and help draw conclusions from analysis. Completes assigned research and analysis projects and clearly communicate results and conclusions. Document and standardize associated processes.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Maintain designated data and information according to procedure and with an exceptionally high degree of accuracy and integrity in order to ensure user confidence in analysis of data and conclusions drawn from it.
2. Maintain and execute associated reporting systems at the direction of the Accounting and Business Information Manager to deliver timely, accurate, and standardized reporting.
3. Assists members of the accounting department as needed with journal entries, payroll, and other duties as needed and assigned.
4. Analyze data and make recommendations based on analysis to the Accounting and Business Information Manager.
5. Complete assigned research and analysis projects in an efficient, timely, and thorough manner and in accordance with guidelines and objectives. Identify and propose research and analysis projects to the Accounting and Business Information Manager designed to drive business improvements and/or efficiencies.
6. Clearly communicate and present results and analysis in an efficient and compelling manner.
7. Document and standardize repetitive data collection, analysis, and reporting processes.
8. Strive for continuous improvement and pursuit of excellence.
9. Summarize information, identify trends and make recommendations to the Accounting and Business Information Manager for actions driven by analysis.
10. Report to the Accounting and Business Information Manager factually, consistently, and in a timely fashion in accordance with established communication requirements.
BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE
High school diploma required (college degree in business management, accounting, or related field is preferred). Must have knowledge of basic accounting concepts, strong organizational abilities, be a self-starter with perseverance and of high character.
