We are seeking an experienced forklift operator who can safely and efficiently manage sit-down forklifts. This role requires comfort working within a manufacturing or warehouse environment, a strong attention to safety and detail, and the physical ability to lift, push, and pull materials as necessary. Reliability in attendance and flexibility to work overtime when needed are essential. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate forklifts to move raw materials and finished foam products.
  • Load, unload, stage, and transport materials within a manufacturing facility.
  • Follow safety procedures and use PPE responsibly in a production environment.
  • Move materials to the correct production, storage, or shipping locations.
  • Perform basic daily forklift checks and report any mechanical or safety issues.
  • Participate in warehouse organization and handle basic paperwork.

Essential Skills

  • Forklift operation experience, specifically with sit-down forklifts, for at least 2 years.
  • Material handling expertise.
  • Strong safety awareness and an OSHA mindset.
  • Capability to manage inventory movement and staging.
  • Experience in equipment inspection and reporting issues.

  • Reliability and consistent attendance.
  • Strong teamwork skills to work well with production, shipping, and warehouse teams.
  • Attention to detail in handling materials and following instructions.
  • Ability to work independently once trained.

Work Environment

The facility is a manufacturing and production environment specializing in foam pouring and fabrication operations. It operates Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with overtime available as needed. The dress code includes standard manufacturing attire such as long pants and steel-toe footwear, with safety glasses and hearing protection provided. Employees are expected to adhere to PPE and safety requirements at all times in an indoor industrial setting. The culture is team-oriented and safety-first, with clear expectations and a steady pace focused on maintaining a safe and organized workplace.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Mansfield, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.48 - $19.48/hr.
