Job Description About the Role

Picture a typical day in our temperature-controlled warehouse: you run a quick safety check, sync your RF scanner, and climb into a high‑reach lift to move palletized food with precision. You’ll load and unload trailers, position inventory into racking up to 30 feet high from within a safety cage, and stage accurate outbound orders—all while keeping aisles orderly and workflows moving.

What you will handle

 • Operate sit‑down and stand‑up forklifts, high‑reach forklifts, stand‑up straddle trucks, walk‑behinds, single/double pallet jacks, and radio‑frequency scanners in alignment with OSHA standards.
 • Receive, put away, pick, and ship food products, ensuring loads are stacked securely and labeled, wrapped, sorted, packed, or repacked as needed.
 • Verify freight for accuracy, damage, and infestation before it moves on.
 • Meet production targets while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area.
 • Pitch in on inventory counts, sanitation tasks, and forklift battery changes; step in on other duties as needed.

What sets you up for success

 • High school diploma or GED preferred.
 • Three (3) months of related material handling or warehouse experience preferred.
 • Self‑starter who can work with minimal supervision and hit deadlines with strong attention to detail.
 • Willingness to work overtime, evenings, or weekends as assigned and arrive on time for your scheduled shift.

Physical and environmental realities

 • Frequent operation of forklifts; ability to sit, talk, hear, use close vision, and handle controls with hands and fingers; occasional distance vision, standing, kneeling, or crouching.
 • Work within areas with as little as 55 inches of headroom.
 • Tolerate controlled temperatures from 32°ree;F to −45°ree;F and outdoor weather (heat, cold, precipitation).
 • Comfortable with heights up to 30 ft. to access product from inside a safety cage.
 • Stand to rebuild pallets for up to 5 hours within an 8–10–12 hour shift; occasionally walk, climb/balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
 • Lift boxes from 10–55 lbs. from floor to 80 inches; lift up to 70 lbs. to 50 inches when rebuilding pallets; carry product 6 ft. without mechanical assistance.
 • Wear cold‑protection gear: insulated clothing, boots, headgear, and gloves.
 • Vision needs include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Compensation

The hourly rate is targeted at $22.50; actual pay may vary by work location.

Tools of the trade

Reasonable accommodation may be made for qualified individuals with disabilities.
