At Etna Supply, our people are at the heart of everything we do. We’re seeking a Recruiting Specialist who will support the company’s continued growth by managing full cycle recruiting across all divisions and locations.
This role partners closely with hiring managers to attract, engage, and hire top talent while ensuring a positive candidate experience and compliance with employment laws and company standards. The Recruiting Specialist plays a key role in building strong talent pipelines, supporting onboarding transitions, and promoting Etna’s culture and reputation in the communities we serve.
Key Responsibilities
Recruiting & Talent Acquisition
- Meet or exceed the expectations of our customers by providing positive customer experience.
- Manage full cycle recruiting for a variety of positions across all divisions and locations.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, job requirements, ideal candidate profiles, and timelines.
- Develop and post informative and engaging job advertisements on job boards, company websites, social media, and other sourcing platforms.
- Source candidates through job boards, referrals, networking, proactive outreach, and creative recruiting strategies.
- Screen resumes, conduct phone and in-person interviews, administer assessments, and evaluate candidates for qualifications and cultural alignment.
- Coordinate interviews and maintain clear communication between candidates and hiring managers.
- Prepare and extend job offers within company compensation guidelines.
- Coordinate background checks, drug screens, and other pre-employment requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date applicant tracking system (ATS) records and hiring documentation.
- Track and report recruiting metrics such as time-to-fill, source effectiveness, and turnover trends.
Candidate Experience & Employer Branding
- Foster a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
- Represent the company professionally to candidates, vendors, and community partners.
- Promote Etna’s culture, values, and career growth opportunities.
- Lead employee referral initiatives, recruiting events, job fairs, and community outreach efforts.
- Partner with Marketing and IT to enhance recruiting effectiveness and employer branding efforts.
HR Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Partner with HR on onboarding coordination and new hire transitions.
- Participate in new hire orientation and onboarding interviews to support retention.
- Train managers and HR partners on recruiting best practices and legal compliance.
- Ensure recruiting practices comply with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Identify opportunities to improve recruiting processes, hiring outcomes, and cost efficiency.
- Stay current on labor market trends and industry best practices.
- Assist with HR projects, reporting, and special initiatives as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of three years of recruiting experience or related HR experience
- Strong understanding of employment laws and recruiting best practices
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multi-location environment
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
- High level of confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical judgment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and applicant tracking systems
Preferred
- Five years of recruitment experience
- Experience in a multi-location, multi-state environment
- Experience with ADP or similar HRIS systems
- HRCI or SHRM certification
Additional Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Occasional travel as required
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Ability to work safely and professionally
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
- Pass substance abuse screening
