Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Providing specialized speech-language services to students across grades K-12, this role offers a unique opportunity to impact the lives of diverse learners in a school setting located in Brainerd, MN. The position is structured as a contract for the current school year (CSY), split evenly between a Setting IV environment and a member district, with each requiring a .5 Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
Key Responsibilities:
- Programming and implementing Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices tailored to non-verbal students
- Providing comprehensive speech and language therapy for students from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Navigating Medicaid processes, including billing and petitioning for device funding
- Collaborating closely with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams to support student communication goals
- Maintaining accurate documentation and compliance with school and Medicaid regulations
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid SLP certification and licensure appropriate for school settings
- Demonstrated experience working with K-12 populations, particularly in grades 6-8, K-5, and 9-12
- Proficiency in programming and implementing AAC devices for non-verbal individuals
- Knowledge of Medicaid billing procedures and experience petitioning for device funding
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to support a team-based approach
