We are seeking a dedicated and organized Patient Care Coordinator to join our healthcare team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring that patients receive exceptional care and support throughout their visit. You will serve as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers, facilitating communication and assisting with various administrative tasks within a medical or dental office setting.
Duties
- Greet and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Schedule appointments and manage the patient calendar efficiently.
- Collect and verify patient information, including medical history and insurance details.
- Provide medical administrative support by maintaining accurate patient records and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers to relay important patient information.
- Assist in the coordination of patient care plans, ensuring all necessary services are provided.
- Educate patients about procedures, treatments, and office policies.
- Handle inquiries from patients regarding their care and follow up on any outstanding issues.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the office environment
Qualifications
Proficiency in medical terminology is preferred to facilitate effective communication within the healthcare setting.
Previous experience in medical administrative support is highly desirable, particularly in a medical office environment.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact positively with patients and staff.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
Familiarity with office software applications for scheduling and record management.
