Job Title: Framing Carpenter – Modular Building Units

Job Description

This role focuses on framing modular building units in a manufacturing environment, using hand and power tools to construct high-quality structures according to measurements, schematics, and blueprints. You will contribute to a fast-paced production team, ensuring accuracy, safety, and consistency throughout each build.

Responsibilities

  • Perform framing work on modular building units according to project specifications and production schedules.
  • Use hand and power tools to cut, assemble, and secure framing components safely and efficiently.
  • Read and interpret tape measurements accurately to ensure precise cuts and alignments.
  • Work from building schematics and blueprints to complete framing and related carpentry tasks.
  • Assist with both rough and finish carpentry as needed to support the full build process.
  • Climb ladders and work at various heights to install framing materials and components.
  • Stand and remain physically active for the entire shift while performing construction tasks.
  • Collaborate closely with team members to coordinate tasks and maintain an efficient workflow.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work area within the facility.
  • Inspect completed work for accuracy, quality, and alignment with design specifications.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience in framing and finish carpentry within construction or modular building environments.
  • Strong carpentry skills, including rough carpentry and commercial construction framing.
  • Ability to read and interpret tape measurements with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Proficiency in the safe use of hand and power tools commonly used in carpentry and construction.
  • Ability to understand and work from building schematics and blueprints.
  • Mechanical aptitude and strong hands-on problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing for an entire shift and climbing ladders.
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work effectively within a production crew.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in general labor within construction or manufacturing settings.
  • Experience working as a framer or carpenter on commercial or modular projects.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.

Work Environment

Work takes place in a modular building manufacturing facility within a covered building that is not climate controlled, with no air conditioning or heat. The role is physically active and requires standing for the full shift, frequent use of ladders, and regular handling of hand and power tools. You work closely with a production team in a structured, construction-style setting focused on safety, efficiency, and quality output. Appropriate workwear suitable for a construction and manufacturing environment is required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Aumsville, OR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
