A pharmacy technician is urgently needed for a contract opportunity in Saint Johns, FL, supporting a high-volume retail pharmacy with a focus on HIV/AIDS medication dispensing. This role is key to maintaining efficient pharmacy operations while delivering exceptional patient care and support.
Details:
- Contract duration: 8 weeks, with possibility to extend based on performance
- Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM; Friday, 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM
- Location: Saint Johns, FL (near Jacksonville)
Responsibilities:
- Perform typical retail pharmacy duties including high-volume data entry and medication dispensing
- Maintain accuracy and efficiency to keep pace with a busy pharmacy environment
- Provide high-level patient care and support, ensuring effective communication with patients and providers
- Demonstrate proactive pharmacy intuition by identifying tasks and stepping in to assist as needed
- Collaborate effectively within the pharmacy team to support daily operations
- Utilize QS1 pharmacy software proficiently to manage workflow
Qualifications and Experience:
- Florida Pharmacy Technician license required
- Minimum of 2 years recent high-volume retail pharmacy experience; applications lacking recent experience will not be considered
- Experience with HIV/AIDS medication dispensing is highly preferred and must be noted on the resume
- Strong communication skills and reliability with consistent attendance
- Professional attitude with commitment to quality patient care
- Ability to work well in a team environment and liaise with healthcare providers
