Job DescriptionAccounting Clerk - Contract-to-Hire

Full-Time | 100% On-Site
$23-$25 per hour
Objective
The Accounting Clerk will coordinate and maintain all day-to-day Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R) functions to support smooth financial operations.
Responsibilities
Accounts Payable (A/P)
- Receive and process all A/P invoices.
- Enter invoices received via USPS or email into Sage Software.
- Track approval workflow to ensure timely processing.
- Verify coding accuracy, approvals, and compliance with payment terms, including job costing, capitalizing, and expensing; review with the Accounting Manager.
- Issue checks bi-weekly and mail payments to vendors.
- Maintain a file of items requiring research and review status daily with the Accounting Manager.
- Follow up on pending or disputed amounts with appropriate parties.
Accounts Receivable (A/R)
- Receive payments and prepare deposit tickets for all receipts.
- Process payments via remote check deposit.
Additional Duties
- Complete other tasks assigned by the Controller and/or Accounting Manager.

Job Requirements
- 3-5 years of Accounts Payable experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Highly detail-oriented, organized, and resourceful.
- Ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be deadline-driven and adhere strictly to policies and procedures.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Sage software experience a plus.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Physical Requirements
- Sedentary work involving computers, printers, scanners, copiers, and phones.
- Regular sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, writing, typing, and other repetitive motions.
- Occasional lifting/moving of up to 30 lbs.
- Occasional stair climbing.
Pay Details: $23.00 to $25.00 per hour
