Our busy, well-established private dental practice in Clermont, FL is looking for an elite Dental Assistant to join our team. We are seeking someone who truly loves being a dental assistant, takes pride in their work, stays three steps ahead of the doctor, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Schedule
- Full-time position, 32+ hours per week
- Monday through Friday
- 8-hour shifts
Duties & Responsibilities
- Chairside assisting during exams and procedures, including nitrous oxide
- Take and document medical and dental histories, vital signs, and treatment notes
- Expose and process dental x-rays
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and plaque control
- Take preliminary impressions and maintain removable appliances
- Assist with dental and medical emergencies following OSHA protocols
- Maintain infection control, hazard control, and equipment maintenance standards
- Keep CPR certification current
- Represent the practice professionally and work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Maintain reliable attendance and follow office policies
- Participate in continuing education as needed and perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of dental assisting experience (required)
- X-ray certification preferred
- Strong multitasking and time management skills
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented mindset with a strong work ethic
- Commitment to professionalism and patient-centered care
Pay & Compensation
- $19.00–$24.00 per hour, based on experience
- $500 sign-on bonus after 90 days
