We're looking for an Area Training Manager to take the lead in developing exceptional teams, driving training strategy, and ensuring consistent operational excellence in the DC market and beyond. This high-impact, high-visibility role is perfect for a training-first leader who thrives in a fast-paced, hospitality-driven environment and knows how to turn great people into great operators.
You'll oversee the training and performance development of multiple corporate and licensed restaurant locations, lead initiatives for new store openings, and shape the culture and capability of our teamsall while enjoying true work-life balance, seasonal downtime, paid holidays, and career growth opportunities.
What You'll Do:
- Support Training Strategy: Design and lead all training initiatives across multiple locations, ensuring consistency in execution, guest experience, and team development.
- Coach & Develop Leaders: Serve as the key mentor and trainer for GMs and high-potential team members; create a culture of learning, feedback, and growth.
- Lead New Store Openings: Spearhead all training and onboarding efforts for new restaurant launches and pop-up events.
- Ensure Operational Readiness: Conduct regular site visits, training audits, and follow-up coaching to maintain high standards in service, food quality, and compliance.
- Collaborate with Licensees: Provide training, resources, and brand guidance to licensed partners to ensure alignment and sustained success.
- Drive Performance Through Training: Use KPIs, guest feedback, and team insights to improve operational effectiveness through learning and development.
What You Bring:
- 3+ years in a multi-unit training, operations, or field leadership role (hospitality or fast-casual experience strongly preferred)
- A passion for developing people and building strong, performance-ready teams
- Strong communication and facilitation skills across diverse audiences and environments
- Solid business acumen with the ability to align training to operational and financial goals
- Flexibility to travel within the region and support growth initiatives as needed
