This position seeks a dedicated professional to serve as a School Psychologist, providing essential psychological services to students within an educational setting. Based in Cloquet, MN, this role involves traveling between schools to deliver assessments, counseling, and support designed to foster student success and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate student learning and behavioral needs.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Provide counseling and intervention strategies to support students' emotional and social development.
- Utilize data and observations to recommend evidence-based practices and strategies.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute insights to promote a positive school environment.
- Maintain accurate, confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters or Specialist degree in School Psychology.
- Valid state licensure or certification as a School Psychologist.
- Experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations and behavioral assessments.
- Strong knowledge of child development, learning theories, and special education laws.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to manage caseloads independently and adapt to varied school environments.
- Willingness to travel regularly between school locations within the region.
