Key Responsibilities:
- Independently rebuild electric motors, replace fan bearings, and rebuild both packed and mechanically sealed pumps.
- Perform high and low voltage troubleshooting and wiring.
- Perform controller and VFD installations.
- Execute electrical and mechanical troubleshooting tasks safely and efficiently.
- Safely utilize power tools and machine shop equipment for tasks such as drilling out broken bolts, machining shaft sleeves, and simple fabrication tasks.
- Safely rig equipment and materials utilize chain blocks and come alongs for various tasks.
- Adapt to changing conditions and develop creative solutions when plans do not proceed as expected.
- Maintain current knowledge of fire pump systems and related code.
- Teach and mentor others when applicable while being open to learning new skills.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of pump and motor repair experience (recommended).
- Soldering/brazing experience up to 4" (preferred).
- Previous knowledge of fire pump systems (preferred).
- OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
- Clean driver’s license.
- Ability to climb, squat, crawl, and lift up to 75 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40.00 - $60.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8-hour shift
- Extended hours
- On call
Work Location: On the road.
