The City of La Vista Nebraska is currently accepting applications from lateral candidates for the position of Police Officer. The La Vista Police Department is a well-respected and modern full-service law enforcement agency that embraces a community policing philosophy. Upon completion of the testing process, an eligibility list will be certified for current and future openings. The City of La Vista offers an excellent wage and benefit package as well as professional growth opportunities. Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma or GED; some college preferred. Applicant must be a certified peace officer of at least 21 years of age (no upper age requirements), possess a valid Driver's License by hire date, U.S. citizen, no felony convictions or a dishonorable discharge from military service. Salary range $73,652 to $105,019.
All conditional offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of a psychological examination, polygraph examination, physical examination and drug screening. Please note that any use of marijuana/THC within the past two years or any other Illegal drug use within the last 7 years will result in automatic disqualification.
