What You’ll Do
As a Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist, you’ll support children with a variety of needs — including medically complex, developmental, and communication challenges — helping them improve speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing skills to enhance their independence and quality of life.
· Develop and implement individualized speech-language therapy plans to improve communication, swallowing, cognitive-communication, and social skills in pediatric patients
· Conduct comprehensive evaluations and maintain detailed, skilled documentation including evaluations, daily notes, progress reports, and discharge summaries
· Educate and collaborate with parents and caregivers to support communication development and carryover of therapy strategies at home and in natural settings
· Monitor therapy progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to maximize outcomes
· Assess the child’s natural environments—such as home, school, or daycare—and recommend strategies or modifications to enhance communication and participation
· Recommend and train families on the use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices or other assistive technology as appropriate
· Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and address the child’s holistic needs
· Manage a pediatric caseload, maintain open communication with families, and coordinate scheduling of therapy sessions
· Complete accurate billing and documentation aligned with services provided
What You Bring
· Credentials from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program are required
· Minnesota Speech-Language Pathology license (or eligibility) required
· Pediatric experience preferred but not required; new graduates are welcome to apply
· A passion for working with children and their families is a must
