Provide critical emergency care as a Registered Nurse in a busy Emergency Department serving a diverse patient population. This travel position offers an opportunity to work in a well-equipped 22-bed ED unit within a 140-bed hospital without a trauma designation, located in a vibrant region of Georgia. You will be supported by a multidisciplinary team including hospitalists, intensivists, respiratory therapists, and telemetry technicians to deliver comprehensive care.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and provide care for patients presenting with common emergency conditions such as chest pain, strokes, diabetes, abdominal pain, motor vehicle collisions, hypertension, and mental health crises
- Manage intravenous drips including Heparin, Insulin, Cardene, Dopamine, Epinephrine, Fentanyl, Propofol, and Levophed
- Perform phlebotomy and IV therapy, including PICC line maintenance
- Monitor cardiac telemetry and interpret vital signs using technology such as EPIC EMR, Phillip monitors, and VS3 vital sign monitors
- Collaborate effectively with unit secretaries, charge nurses, and other staff to ensure seamless patient flow and care coordination
- Participate in a weekend rotation schedule and holiday shifts according to department needs
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active GA RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Emergency Department RN
- Current certifications in BLS, BCR, and ACLS required
- TNCC and national emergency nursing certification preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to manage critical drips and multi-patient assignments with ratios typically ranging from 1:3-4 per RN
Schedule:
- 12-hour shifts (7 AM 7 PM or 7 PM 7 AM)
- Weekend rotation averaging 5-6 weekend shifts every 6 weeks
- Work one major holiday shift per holiday season
- No on-call responsibilities
