We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join a premier, physician-owned GYN Oncology practice in Edina, MN. This position offers a stable, professional schedule with set weekday clinic hours and zero hospital shift structures. You will work within a deeply committed, collaborative medical culture serving an incredibly grateful and warm patient population. This opportunity provides excellent clinical experience in a meaningful specialty, with strong potential for permanent conversion.
Responsibilities/ Job Duties:

Work within a GYN Oncology Environment

Room patients and support general clinical flow throughout the day

Manage provider schedules and patient flow to ensure efficient room utilization

Take and document patient vital signs

Reconcile active medications and update patient records as needed

Perform standard depression screenings in accordance with clinic protocols

Check in patients and assist with front-end patient flow as needed

Clean and prepare exam rooms between patient visits

Stock exam rooms and maintain adequate medical supply levels

Balance and coordinate care for up to three overlapping incoming patients at a time

Monitor schedules closely to keep exam rooms available and prevent provider workflow delays

Chaperone office visits as needed

Support providers during visits by handing instruments and assisting with in-room clinical tasks

Assist with instrument sterilization and autoclaving
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
-
Required: Active BLS Certification

Required: Proven experience taking and documenting patient vital signs
-
Preferred: Prior clinical experience as a Medical Assistant or similar role

Preferred: Prior experience within specialty environments including Oncology, Palliative Care, Hospice, or OBGYN

Preferred: Experience using an Autoclave for instrument sterilization
Schedule/ Shift: Monday - Friday: 8:00am - 4:30pm (No weekends, holidays, or hospital shift rotations)
