Job Title: Procurement & Sourcing Specialist – Capital Projects
Location: Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid)

ASAP is hiring on behalf of our client for a Procurement & Sourcing Specialist to support large capital and onsite services projects within a highly regulated environment. This role will operate as part of an established sourcing team and will be responsible for managing end-to-end strategic sourcing activities across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle sourcing activities from intake through contract management
- Review and validate sourcing requests from internal stakeholders
- Ensure compliance requirements and documentation are complete
- Conduct vendor risk assessments
- Lead sourcing events including RFPs and competitive bids
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contract agreements
- Execute purchase orders and support invoice issue resolution
- Monitor supplier performance and implement recovery plans as needed
- Maintain contract documentation and records in accordance with long-term retention requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or purchasing
- Strong contract negotiation and supplier management experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word (advanced formatting), Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience supporting large projects and complex scopes of work
- Ability to manage workload independently and prioritize effectively
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Project Management, Construction, or related field
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SAP (strongly preferred)
- Familiarity with e-sourcing or contract management tools (e.g., Coupa)
- Experience in regulated industries such as energy, utilities, or similar environments
- Professional certifications such as CPSM are a plus
Work Environment & Schedule:
- Hybrid schedule:
- Remote: Monday & Friday
- Onsite: Tuesday–Thursday
- Candidates should be able to report to the Minneapolis corporate office, with the option to work onsite at nearby project locations in Monticello, MN or Prairie Island (Welch, MN)
- Standard business hours preferred
- Approximately 8 hours per day
- Flexible between 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM (consistent schedule expected)
