This full-time Special Education Teacher position offers the opportunity to support students from Transitional Kindergarten through 8th grade in a dynamic K-12 school environment. Located in McClellan, CA, this role involves in-person instruction and direct collaboration with students, staff, and families to foster academic and social growth.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and adapt individualized education programs (IEPs) for TK-8 students with diverse learning needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff to provide inclusive and effective educational experiences.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and assistive technologies to engage students and promote their success.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance and goals.
- Participate in professional development and team meetings to stay current on best practices in special education.
Qualifications:
- Valid state teaching credential with certification in Special Education.
- Experience working with TK-8 students in a special education setting.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, assessment tools, and teaching strategies.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Schedule & Location:
- Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm (40 hours per week).
- Position is based in McClellan, CA.
- In-person role with a caseload of TK-8 students.
