Job DescriptionOur client, a growing manufacturing and distribution company, is seeking a hands-on Controller to lead and strengthen the company’s financial operations. This is a highly visible role working closely with ownership and leadership to improve financial accuracy, reporting, processes, and overall business performance.
This is not a high-level delegation role — the ideal candidate will be comfortable rolling up their sleeves, working in the details, identifying issues, and implementing practical solutions that create structure and accountability.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all accounting functions including month-end close, financial reporting, A/P, A/R, and general ledger
Improve accuracy, visibility, and reliability of financial reporting
Partner directly with leadership to provide actionable business and operational insight
Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement
Implement stronger processes, controls, and reporting capabilities
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
Work cross-functionally with operations to align financial performance with business goals
Leverage ERP systems to improve efficiency and reporting
Qualifications:
7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience (10+ preferred)
Manufacturing or distribution experience required
Strong cost accounting and inventory experience
ERP experience required (NetSuite strongly preferred)
Proven ability to identify problems, investigate root causes, and implement solutions
Strong communication skills and ability to partner directly with ownership and leadership
Hands-on, proactive, and highly accountable
Experience supporting audits or reviewed financials is a plus
