Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of acute care CT experience and ARRT (CT) certification for a 13-week assignment.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in an acute care radiology department specializing in CT imaging
  • Operate in a CT unit equipped with both GE and Toshiba scanners
  • Primary shift is Friday through Sunday, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
  • Average of 30 scans per 12-hour shift, including CTA, body, and neuro studies
  • Patient population includes primarily ED patients, some of whom may arrive with IVs
  • Must be able to float to cover other scanners if required
  • Call requirement with 30-minute response time
  • Uses Epic EMR and McKesson PACS
  • Responsibilities include performing CTA, body, and neuro CT studies
  • Department-specific orientation is provided
  • Solid color scrubs are provided
  • Holiday coverage is required
  • Radiologist is on-site during the day but not during evenings or weekends
  • Must not have worked at any CommonSpirit facility, including CHI and/or Dignity, within the past year as a direct employee
  • Returning travelers employed PRN through outside firms are eligible
  • First-time travelers will be considered
  • RTO (requested time off) must be discussed pre-assignment

\n \n Requirements\n

  • Minimum of 2 years CT experience in an acute care setting
  • ARRT (CT) certification required
  • BLS certification required
  • Active state license required if applicable; pending licenses will not be accepted
  • Knowledge of ER type scans and the ability to start and troubleshoot IVs
  • Ability to use both GE and Toshiba CT scanners
  • Must provide own radiation badge
  • Copy of driver’s license required for consideration
  • Two professional references: one supervisor from within the past 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibility
