The Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen, ensuring all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are cleaned, sanitized, and properly stored. This role also supports the culinary team by assisting with basic kitchen duties and maintaining a safe, organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Wash, sanitize, and store all dishes, utensils, pots, and pans.

• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, dishwashing, and storage areas.

• Operate dishwashing machines safely and efficiently.

• Sweep, mop, and clean floors, walls, and work surfaces regularly.

• Remove trash and recycling, ensuring proper waste disposal.

• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries as needed.

• Follow hotel and brand standards for health, safety, and sanitation.

• Report any maintenance or safety issues immediately to management.

• Support kitchen operations during meal periods and events as needed.

Qualifications:

• Previous stewarding or kitchen cleaning experience preferred but not required.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
