Location: Plainview, NY (onsite)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time Contract
Pay Rate: $25-$28/hour, dependent on experience
Work Arrangement: Fully onsite during training; potential for hybrid after training period

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Onboarding Specialist to join a fast-paced organization in the Plainview, NY area. This is a full-time contract role for a candidate who can start immediately, work onsite, and confidently manage onboarding and offboarding processes while ensuring compliance and a positive employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full onboarding process for new hires from offer acceptance through first day readiness
  • Handle employee offboarding, including documentation, system access updates, and coordination with internal teams
  • Prepare, process, and track new hire paperwork, including I-9s and compliance documentation
  • Conduct onboarding sessions and orientations
  • Maintain accurate employee records within the HRIS
  • Partner with HR and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and compliant onboarding/offboarding
  • Support a high-volume, fast-paced HR environment with strong attention to detail

Required Qualifications

  • Prior experience handling both onboarding and offboarding
  • HRIS experience is required
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Professional communication skills, written and verbal
  • Must be able to start immediately
  • Must be able to work full-time onsite during the training period
