Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years MS RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract opportunity offers the chance to work alongside experienced staff in a 54-bed Med-Surg unit, with 11 beds dedicated to a specialized ortho/spine floor. The department boasts advanced equipment, modern technology, and a tenure-rich nursing team.

Schedule/Hours:

• Flexible scheduling with the possibility of blocked shifts on a case-by-case basis
• At least one weekend per 4-week schedule (may be split)

Qualifications:

• Current, active RN license
• BLS certification required; ACLS optional
• Minimum of 1 year recent RN experience in a Medical-Surgical setting
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills
• Effective communication, punctuality, and the ability to learn quickly
• Positive, collaborative attitude and ability to thrive within a team

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical, orthopedic, spine, trauma, and psych medical hold patients
• Collaborate closely with RN/LPN teams, techs, externs, and unit secretaries (as available)
• Utilize advanced equipment, including Alaris pumps, remote telemetry, specialty beds, wound vacs, and more
• Document in Meditech and employ tools like Patient Keeper, MobiLab, and Inspire App
• Participate in quality initiatives, support patient experience goals, and adapt to patient census and staffing needs
• Occasional floating within unit(s) as needed, following established policies
