Job Description:
Assist dentists efficiently in providing quality dental care to patients. Ensure patient comfort and support clinical procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Welcome and prepare patients for treatments, ensuring their comfort. Set up, sterilize, and organize instruments and assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry.
Perform lab tasks as instructed and provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions. Maintain clean, well-stocked rooms, schedule appointments, keep accurate records, and assist with payments.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bilingual in Spanish preferred; excellent customer service and communication skills required. Must have basic computer knowledge, detail orientation, interpersonal and listening skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.
Experience, Education, Certification:
Previous dental assisting experience preferred but not required. Must meet state dental assistant requirements, and hold Basic Life Support (BLS), CPR, and radiography certifications.
Work Conditions and Schedule:
Work under supervision in a clean, well-lit environment near the dental chair. Some evening or weekend hours may be required; follow safety procedures for equipment use.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to remain stationary, sitting or standing for extended periods, bend, climb stairs, and lift as needed.
