Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Safety Representative role at Prime Safety Management LLC in Fort Lauderdale, FL, supporting an energy utilities civil construction project.
The Safety Representative will be responsible for conducting site safety audits and other general construction safety management activities on an energy utility civil construction site. The Safety Representative must also be well-versed in basic computer software applications and safety document control. Must have extensive knowledge of four hazards, crane and rigging inspections, trenching and excavation, heavy equipment safety controls, and many other areas of civil construction safety.
Candidates with several years of safety experience within oil and gas pipeline, powerline transmission projects, wind/solar, and other related energy utlity construction sites are required.
Must be a team leader, have excellent communication skills, and have previous experience interacting with facility owners.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a safety professional in energy utilities, crane and rigging operations, earthmoving operations, or similar civil construction projects is required.
- A BCSP CHST, GSP, CSP, OHST, SMP, ASP, OSHA 500, CUSP, or BS degree in safety is strongly preferred; OSHA 510 or CSHO construction is required at a minimum.
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

- Must be able to pass a background check
Compensation:
$50-$60 per hour plus 1.5 per hour OT.
Per diem: $151 per 7-day week.
50 hours or more per week.
12+ months in duration.
