Key Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar educational support role is strongly preferred
- Understanding of classroom procedures and ability to assist with lesson plans
- Comfort working one-on-one or in small groups with diverse learners, including those with special needs
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to follow directions and collaborate with teachers and school staff
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in education or related field a plus
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist classroom teachers with daily activities and classroom management
- Provide instructional support to students individually and in small groups
- Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom atmosphere
- Help implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as directed
- Supervise students during transitions, meal breaks, and recess periods
- Prepare instructional materials and help keep classroom organized
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development as needed
