Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a lasting difference as a Part-Time Occupational Therapist supporting students throughout New Mexico's public school system! We're seeking an experienced clinician to deliver high-quality occupational therapy services that promote student engagement and academic success.

Employment Details Part-time position requiring 15-20 hours per week providing direct and consultative occupational therapy services. Flexible scheduling allows for efficient service delivery while maintaining professional autonomy in a supportive educational setting.

Clinical Focus Areas

  • K-12 student population with developmental and physical challenges
  • Manageable caseload of 18-25 students requiring specialized support
  • Emphasis on functional skills for classroom participation
  • Sensory regulation strategies and environmental design
  • Fine motor coordination and bilateral integration activities
  • Adaptive technology assessment and implementation
  • Transition skills preparation for munity integration

Essential Duties

  • plete prehensive occupational therapy assessments
  • Design and implement evidence-based intervention programs
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings and educational planning
  • Provide consultation services to classroom teachers
  • Conduct staff training on therapeutic positioning and handling
  • Monitor student progress through systematic data collection
  • Ensure pliance with state educational and therapy standards

Professional Requirements

  • NPED REQUIRED
  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Valid New Mexico occupational therapy license in good standing
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in school or pediatric settings
  • Understanding of special education law and IEP processes
  • Excellent written and verbal munication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience with diverse cultural and linguistic populations preferred
